Potential Engine Stalling Prompts Triumph to Recall 541 Speed Triple R and Speed Triple S

on December 7, 2017

Triumph is recalling certain 541 Speed Triple R and Speed Triple S motorcycles, all manufactured between 2016 and 2017. Triumph said a wire for the charging system may rub against a bracket for the ABS modulator, potentially causing an electrical short that could stall the engine. Dealers will replace and reroute the affected wire so it doesn’t come into contact with the bracket. Repairs are free. Owners may contact Triumph customer service at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph’s number for this recall is SB552.
